Deload Week... "Hated It"... But it's Worth It + Fitness Tips

I am now on a deload week.  Since Jordan Foley has me on an absolutely brutal training program I really look forward to a deload week.  They are boring and look useless on paper.  If you are really busting your ass trying to reach your goals then a deload will work wonders.

By the time the week is over I am ready to smash some heavy weights again.  It is as important mentally as it is physically.  

For a change of pace and some added cardio my wife and I started playing some tennis this week.  After about 30mins we started to actually hit the ball back and forth.  We got some rallies going and I was sweating profusely.  It is alot of fun and you really have to be quick on your feet.  I am confident it will help my lack of speed and increase my conditioning.  Cross-training is valuable too.
