All About Growth........ Who Doesn't Want That?

Well Ladies and Gentlemen...

As I grow older I also grow wider.... and thicker. My bank account grows, my nose and ears apparently never stop growing (uh-oh), relationships grow and even in the driest of summer's....my grass still grows.

Another thing that grows is my confidence as a person.   I turn 30 next month and have accomplished quite a few great things so far.  I am happily married in our 8th year, we have already purchased 2 houses and are comfortable in where we sit financially.  I have a step-daughter who started high school last week.  Her success is a reflection on how my wife and I use our parenting skills.  Of course she was a great kid at the start too.   2 vehicles, 3 dogs, one pool.   I have a stable job, my wife has a stable job.

We have endured many obstacles and challenges thrown at us as a young couple.  When I first moved in with my wife we didn't have it easy.   Instead of chicken breast and seafood we ate chicken thighs and drumsticks.  We BELIEVED we would make it.

I worked rotating shift work and my wife just finished college and was working part-time.   Very difficult when you're a family just moving in together.   My wife and daughter already lived on their own before but I still lived at home.  For me to understand how being a "man" around the house was supposed to play out wasn't an easy thing.  I look back and wonder how I could be so clueless.

Today I am very proud of who I am and what I represent.   To reach the level I am at took love and support from my wife Amie and daughter Sydney.  They are my two "rocks".  They keep me grounded but also BELIEVE in me.  I am so thankful for that.

Now if you don't have an Amie or Sydney in your corner then there is only one thing YOU need....   BELIEF in YOURSELF.   You too can grow, not just in the gym but in life.  BELIEVE.
