Well, I have done it again. We just had a successful strongman weekend We at RescindX Productions put on. 2 days of top amateurs and a 2 day PRO Invitational all in one crammed weekend. It was awesome just watching Gorillas, Tanks, Beasts and damn near 7 ft Giants go at it. We saw some new stars emerge for the future and some familiar faces kickin' ass JCVD style!...HEART!! haha
I was quite happy working with Bruce at RescindX, going to be a stellar combo him and I upcoming. I know in my last post I talked about not competing in strongman blah blah blah. Guess what, I'm back in. There are some really strong amateurs this year, everyone has been doing their homework and eating their Wheaties.... or supplements from CygenLabs.com probably.
After watching these guys at our Nordic Thunder events I wanted to compete so bad. There was a gap in competitions in Ontario from the Amateurs to the PRO's and also a gap in competition level. Now, the top amateurs can compete with some of the PRO's.
It's incredible really. Strongman in Ontario is growing!!!
So.... this weekend I have my first 3 lift powerlifting meet in the 100% RAW Federation. I'm nervous but really jacked up going into it. I don't train as a powerlifter but feel I should do well anyways. One week after that I am competing in our RescindX Quinte's Strongest Man competition. Party time folks!!
The problem was that I was sitting on the sidelines of strongman too long. Once I was up close and personal again the bug struck me. Powerlifting now seems to be dull compared to strongman.... lifting barbells in one direction? or impress a crowd with lifting cars, giant rocks, pulling vehicles.......?
Goals for powerlifting meet this weekend - hit some PR's and bring home some National Records to add my Bench Only record
Goals for Quinte's Strongest Man - perform how I know I am capable of and chase Alex Whiteman all day.... Top 3 finish is my goal
Precision kicks all around bitches!!
