Winds of Change - Love them Scorpions! Plus training....

It's springtime and as my mind races around like Speedy Gonzales having a seizure, I have made a decision.

I won't compete in Strongman in the near future. I am certainly NOT quitting strongman, not even close. I promote the sport because I love it so much.
I have decided that since a few years ago I tried some shows at the PRO level against the likes of Paul Vaillancourt and Jordan Foley, I would only like to compete at THAT level again.

Reason? PR's. When you compete against machines like those guys then you dig deeper than ever before. Result? Personal records. Shit happens that never happens in training. Sure, overall in points I got hammered, but I competed better than before.

Point? I only want to compete with those caliber of guys. Right now I'm not there so I will wait until I can have a respectful showing at that level. Some would say "why not just do some lower level shows?".
But where's the motivation in that? I will only compete to the best of my abilities. Not saying the "lower level" shows won't push me nor am I saying I'd win them.... I'm saying that only those who have competed at that level will understand what it feels like to compete up there with Paul and Jordan, Dallas and Kyle etc.

What will I do until then? I will keep following my program and just compete in powerlifting. I can still kill that competitive bug while focusing still on what I need to.

I will still be training as a strongman, no specialized powerlifting waves either. Same stuff Jordan has me doing now. Why? It god damn works.

Soooooo, May 12th is the 100% RAW Federation Provincials and June 3rd will be the CPF Raw Amateur Nationals in Waterloo.
On that weekend in June I will also be at the Toronto Pro Supershow hanging with the folks at Cygen Labs and Nutrition Excellence!! Come see me at the Cygen booth everyone!!!!
