Time to Annihilate the Body for a Different Reason!

“Annihilate to Liberate” January 14th, 2012

It’s almost 2012 and one thing remains the same. The majority of people take their health for granted. Even myself.
10 years ago a great friend of mine was diagnosed with MS. To be honest it never really sank in since we grew apart for awhile because of stuff that didn’t even matter in the “Big Picture”.
We started hanging out again and things really started to be put into perspective. I was already going through some life lessons which got me looking at the world in a different light. Priorities changed, newer friends were dropped, old friends became ‘best’ again. Life made sense.
Everyday I push my body as far as it will go... for fun. Numerous injuries and war wounds are common place. What I do when competing and training for Strongman comes nowhere near what an individual with Multiple Sclerosis has to go through. The pain and suffering is more extreme than pulling a fire truck or running with 300lbs in each hand during the farmer’s walk.
On January 14th I have put together a very difficult “torture chamber” of 1 hour events. There will be 4-5 events which will total a full 5 hours of intense non-stop lifting action. Some will puke, some will possibly pass out. Two things will come of this death trap.
1) We will raise the last bit of funds needed for someone very special to me to get the help he needs... The Liberation Treatment
2) We will all realize how little pain the average healthy person goes through in comparison
