"Holiday! If We Took a Holiday, It Would Be So Nice" Plus TRAINING!!

Well I've been on holidays for a week and have trained just no posting. There are a few sessions that I am going to skip since it involves alot of typing but will post the most recent session and some notable points from this past week.


360 x 5 beltless squat PR -- I know, not a big deal but it will be some day.

230 x 5 beltless strict military press PR -- gettin' there.

220 x 3 reps x 5 sets DE Log Press -- killed it! Last set went fancy and tried a Viper Press on first rep. All reps cleaned to chest in one motion, no lapping. Get to work up to a heavy single this coming events session!

240lbs (yes each hand for those not familiar with this exercise) farmers walk 150ft -- felt solid

Thursday Night - @ home in my smelly (only because I forgot to put the garbage out) garage
Foam Roll, Simple 6, Agile 8

Squats (scheduled to do some incline pressing but was way too sore still so wanted to work on some lower anyways)
135 x 5 x 2 sets
225 x 5 x 2 sets
315 x 5
345 x 5
365 x 5 - Another beltless PR!!
340 x 5
315 x 5

Front Squats-
135 x 8
185 x 8
205 x 8 - abs were done

Walking Lunge-
+20lbs DB per hand = 3 sets x 10 reps each leg
**Sarah Leighton uses more than me on these. It doesn't hurt so bad when you know her credentials.....plus she's jacked.

Back Extensions-
3 x 12 reps

Weighted Sit Ups-
+10lbs
3 sets x 10 reps -- core is fried already

Overhead Plate Walks- in place of Pallof Walks
+45lbs x 6 trips down driveway x 3 sets


Training is going well and I am eating like a crazed fatman while on holidays. We went to Niagara Falls overnight earlier this week and I found a place called AlMacs Buffet. Reasonable pricing and a boatload of food!!! I recommend it. We hit the breakfast buffet but my wife and daughter were still too full for dinner. Here is the website
