The Road to Recovery...
Sunday @ Quinte Fitness
Start of a new week, feeling better everyday. Yesterday I wanted to go into the gym and take my time warming up and planned on doing some seated presses, laterals etc. As I did my warm-up stretching, rolling, rehab exercises and 10 mins on the elliptical...30 mins went by and I felt decent. Decided to test out some military presses.
MP- (Fat Gripz)
95 x 2 sets x 15 reps
135 x 2 sets x 10 reps
155 x 2 sets x 8 reps
**Everything felt solid here.
BTN Presses- (Fat Gripz)
135 x 2 sets x 6 reps
**No big weights and didn't push too hard but got a nice pump.
Face Pulls- (lat pulldown using rope attachment)
30lbs x 4 sets x 25 reps
Side Laterals-
20lbs x 3 sets x 20 reps
**Shoulders burning pretty bad
Planks-
2 x 45 sec
Side Planks-
2 x 30 secs/side
Finished with more stretching, rolling, band work and even more rehab exercises (Thank you Mr. Roachman for giving me more) for another 20 mins.
Although the warm-ups were lengthy and so was the "cool down", it felt really good and realized that I wasn't even close to warm before I started training before. I would roll and stretch and do some warmup sets, but I wasn't actually warmed up. There was a point when I was doing my warmup shit where everything just went loose and felt light. The problem with training with other people is that I find myself rushing to get going.
