Ruts. Everyone gets in them. Eventually, most people get out of them. But what can you do to avoid or even get out of them? Let's look at workout/training ruts..... Do you look the same as you did last year? Do you lift the same weights as last year? Not seeing results? Probably because you're in a rut. Chances are, you are on the same program you have been on for months or even years. I see this too often at the gym. People spend hours at the gym and not see results because they are doing the same things all the time. Here's an example...
One guy came up to me a few weeks ago and he asked
"Rich...how do I get big & strong like you? I've been bench pressing, doing arm curls, lat pulldowns, shoulders and flyes..." I cut him off.
"You squatting? I asked.
"No...but I'm doing Ronnie Coleman's (Former Mr. Olympia) chest & arm routine..."
"You do deadlifts?" I also asked.
"Well no...." he said.
It turns out, this guy has been doing pretty much the same exercises for months and no matter what he does....nothing happens. It's a simple fix. Try something else. If it's not working for you, why are you still doing it? Just because you try to do Ronnie Coleman's routine....it doesn't mean it'll work.
I can pretty much gaurantee that even the great Ronnie Coleman changes his routine when it stops working. You don't have to be on some complicated program but just add some variety. Simply adding squats and deadlifts will do wonders to your physique.
If you're unsure on how to implement a few small changes, hire a personal trainer. Even one session with a REAL personal trainer can show you enough variety to spice up your training.
Even if you've been using the same supplements for a long time and still not seeing what the advertisements promise you, maybe it's time for a change. Have you tried Blue Star Nutraceuticals?
You should.... What's it going to hurt right? Your current supplement company isn't doing a damn thing for you....give Blue Star a chance.
So...the importance of change is crucial....but not hard. Simple changes can make a big difference when you're in a rut. Try one of the changes I've mentioned.
