When You Have to Turn Something Negative Into a Positive...

Ever heard the saying "When life gives you lemons, then make lemonade" ? Or "There's a silver lining to every cloud" ? I believe it's true. A good number of people in the world choose one of these sayings and run with it. They keep a positive outlook and keep on truckin'! Coincidentally.....these people are happier, more successful people for it. Then you have the people who just curl up and die. They accept the negative as a permanent reality for their life.
Then you hear garbage like "If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all".
In my opinion, there are very fews times in life where luck comes into play. Scratch tickets, Bingo.....games of chance are pretty much luck. When it comes to everyday life, you decide how it plays out. Sure you can't control what happens from day-to-day BUT YOU CAN CONTROL HOW YOU DEAL WITH IT. That my friends is not luck. Something bad happens....deal with it and move on. The more you dwell on the negative, the more it creates......YES, MORE NEGATIVITY! You start to see more of the 'bad things' and never really see the good. If you deal with a problem at that moment and decide "Hey, now I'm moving on!" you can enjoy the next moment in life which could be a great one! It's all in how you deal with it.

So that was my opinion. You might not agree or it might not even make sense to you. If you're not seeing the positive in what I said then you need to read it again. If you still don't see it then I hope you enjoy your negative life because that's all you'll have. Be positive.

Now for my training! Since my last blog I've had 2 workouts from my 'top secret' program from Bob Griffiths. One was an assistance workout for my deadlift and last night was a overhead press workout with lots of assistance work. I really wish I could share these exact workout with you BUT I have a friendly feud going with Ben Ruckstuhl. He is a training partner of mine and friend. I have pulled out of our training team temporarily to seek the assistance from Bob Griffiths. I needed some guidance in my training to go above and beyond where I could take myself before. After the first week of this program....it's rough. Each workout I grow more confident. Watch out Ben....
