Big, big, big night in the UFC tonight. UFC 107 is big for me because I have a few favorites on the card. BJ Penn defends his 155 belt against Diego Sanchez. I am a huge BJ fan but he will have some trouble I think with Diego. I'll be cheering for BJ and just hope he can pull off a victory in style. Another guy who will be fighting tonight I will be hoping he loses is Frank Mir.
Frank has big time hatred for my fav fighter Brock Lesnar and is actually not taking his opponent tonight serious enough because of it. On the UFC 107 Countdown show he downplayed the difficulty of his fight tonight against probably one of the best strikers in the heavyweight division, Cheick Kongo. Apparently this pompous ass thinks he can defeat Brock now and is gunnin' for him. He never gives his opponents credit and if they defeat him he thinks it's because he messed up. His last fight was against Brock Lesnar and Frank's face looked like ground beef. The ref stopped it because Frank was useless. Mir was actually stated in an interview after that fight "I was seconds from making my move to win the fight".
Here are my predictions:
Diego defeats BJ Penn -- 2nd Rd via TKO *I'll be cheering for BJ though
Frank Mir defeats Cheick Kongo -- 1st Rd via leg submission *I'll be cheering for Kongo
Clay Guida defeats Kenny Florian -- Decision victory after Clay smashes Ken Flo for 3 Rds
Jon Fitch submits Mike Pierce
Paul Buentello TKO'S Stefan Struve
Wilson Gouveia wins decision over Alan Belcher
***The other fights aren't too interesting for me****
Hey Ben, I've decided that this far in my 'top secret' program that I can't post all the workouts because I'm too lazy to write it all. I will just post the whole training split after I'm done.....muahahaha Have fun in Barrie this weekend and learn lots!
After I posted this blog for the first time, I went out and tried to do my duties as a homeowner. I was on a mission to fix my eavestrough at the back of my house despite my fear of heights. Simple little job.....even for me. 20 mins at the most to replace a small corner, or so I thought.
This was my time, my time to stare my fear of heights right in the face. To be honest with you, I wasn't even worried about the height...........until I started to climb the ladder. Now, I put this job off for a few months and really.....nobody should be surprised. That is Classic Rich right there. Screw the snow, the cold, the fact that I wasted time at work to borrow this ladder and strap it on my Kia. Away I went....one rung, two rungs, three.....slowing down now...4 rungs......complete stop. As my wife knew what was going on I could hear here start to giggle. I came back down to re-position the ladder base. One rung, two rungs, three rungs....no slowing down now!!....4 rungs....stopped. I'm up the ladder and it's still not stable enough for my liking.
Back down I go to "fix" the ladder. Ok, here I go......one rung, two rungs, three rungs, 4 rungs...5......Wait! I read the Safety Label that's halfway up and hmmmmm......I am 50lbs over the weight capacity. The ladder seemed to become really unstable...in my head....maybe....I'm done. It's really not that bad, maybe wait till spring?? Free personal training session with me or a custom program to anyone who can fix this 20 min job!!!
I thought I was over the fear of heights......or maybe I forgot how much I hated heights back in October at Canada's Wonderland with Ben!!!
